About Us
At Knitochet, our mission is to create a retail product and service experience that inspires customers to begin something new, revisit something from their past and pass along their craft to future generations.
Our Business
It's hard to believe that we opened our doors in August, 2005 and we hyst celebrated our third anniversary! The store concept evolved from several visits to yarn shops across the country and the owner's own passion for texture and color. The result is a somewhat unique fiber and merchandising concept that makes new customers gasp in awe when they walk through the door and keeps established customers coming back for more.
Who We Are
Michelle N. Keith: Owner and entrepreneur extrordinaire! Michelle learned to knit, crochet and sew before age 10. She's hooked. Professionally, she spent over 18 years in Supply Chain Management and, in 2005, decided to live her dream of business ownership. She has a BA in Economics from Whitman College and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.
Elle M. Charman: Future Powerseller. Elle was a devoted customer before joining our team. She has operations responsibility for our on-line presence including the Knitochet Annex. With Elle at our "virtual helm," we've increased sales and have achieved an on-line customer satisfaction rating of 100%. Elle is certified yoga and pilates instructor. She can be found knitting in her walk-in hall closet while hiding from her darling children.
